MONFORT

GENERATION 1

Jean Jan Monfort was born in Holland.  He married Jacqueline Moreau in Valencienne, France.  She was born in Holland.

  2. Pieter Monfort was born in 1616 in Holland.

GENERATION 2

Pieter Monfort was born in Amsterdam, Noord, Netherland.  He married Sarah De Plancker, January 30th in Amsterdam, Walloon Church, Netherlands.  She was born in Noord and her parents were Jacques and Sara (Fauconnier) de Planken.  Pieter came on or before 1639 to the America.  He settled in Wallabout which is in the present Brooklyn.  They both died in Wallabout.  He on Jan. 4, 1661 and Sarah in 1684.

  1. Jan Pieterse was born Feb. 23, 1648 in Wallabout.
  2. Pieter Pieterse was born July 21, 1652 in Wallabout.

GENERATION 3

Jan Pieterse Monfort was born Feb. 23, 1648 in Wallabout, Long Island, New York.  He married Ida Brinkerhoff in Flatbush, Kings, New York.  Jan is the ancestor of the Somerset County, Monfort Line, which was located, before the Revolution, near Millstone and Readingtion.  Ida died before 1750 in New York.  Jan died in 1737, in Hempstead, Long Island, New York.

GENERATION 4

Pieter Monfort was born on Feb. 16, 1681, in New York.  He married Margarietie Haff in 1714 in New York.  Her parents were Laurens Jurianse and Kniertji (Meet) Haff.  She was born in 1694 in New York.  They both died in Reading Township, Hunterdon, New Jersey.  He in May of 1780 and she died in 1745.

GENERATION 5

Kniertje Monfort was born April 12, 1719 in Oyster Bay, Long Island, New York.  She married Joris (George) Schamp, about 1737 in New York.  He was born about 1704 in New York.  His parents were George or Joost and Margrietie (Lock) Schamp.  They both died in Reading, New Jersey.  He in July of 1752 and she died in May of 1770.
